Exclusive advisory to the shareholders of Lässig on the majority sale to Ambienta

With Ambienta as sustainability-focused partner, Lässig aims to accelerate international expansion and strengthen its position as an innovative family brand.

November, 2022. ox8 Corporate Finance acted as the exclusive sell-side M&A adviser to the shareholders of Lässig GmbH („Lässig“) on the majority sale to Ambienta SGR SpA („Ambienta”).

Lässig was founded in 2006 by Claudia and Stefan Lässig and currently has more than 110 employees. The company produces functional, sustainable and innovative products for babies, children and the entire family. The company creates high brand credibility among parents via clear unique selling propositions such as innovation and functionality. Lässig is on a strong growth path and has used its strong presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as a launching pad for the successful expansion into other European markets such as France and the Benelux countries.

In the wake of the majority acquisition, Ambienta, as one of Europe’s largest asset managers fully committed to environmental sustainability, will support Lässig’s holistic sustainability strategy as well as its further internationalization via its international network and expertise. In addition, Ambienta will work with the management team to drive forward the digitalization of products, processes and operations. The sellers of the shares are Arcus Capital, BE Beteiligungen, the founders Claudia and Stefan Lässig, and Karin Heinrich. The latter continue to hold significant shares in the family business, Arcus Capital also remains invested.
