Exclusive advisory to the shareholders of PKN-Group on the majority sale to LMP Partners

With the backing of LMP Partners, PKN aims to scale its IT service portfolio and drive international expansion through a broader group platform.

May, 2022. ox8 Corporate Finance advised founder Heiko Weidlich and the other shareholders of PKN Group (“PKN”) as exclusive M&A advisor on the sale of the group companies to IT investor LMP PARTNERS.

The IT solution provider PKN was founded in 1995 by Heiko Weidlich and today consists of the three companies PKN Datenkommunikations GmbH, PKN Datenvernetzungs GmbH and REALCLOUD Services GmbH.

As a leading IT services provider in the Berlin/Brandenburg region, PKN offers customized solutions for the digital transformation of medium-sized companies. In this context, PKN mainly focuses on data center services, cloud services and cyber security.

As part of LMP PARTNERS, PKN will complement the existing core group companies Weiss IT Solutions and amalphi with the goal of reaching group revenues of EUR 100 million in 2023.

Mr. Weidlich will remain with the group of companies as a consultant. Going forward, PKN will be led by the Managing Directors Tarek El-Sharkawy and Björn Köppe, who have already significantly contributed to the success of PKN as managers for many years. All three of them will re-invest in LMP PARTNERS.
